The SFP® is IFMA’s globally recognized sustainability credential for facility professionals. The program takes an end-to-end approach to planning, implementing and improving sustainability initiatives within the facility management environment. It goes beyond environmental principles to address strategy, financial justification, operational decision making, implementation, change management and performance reporting.
IFMA Caribbean offers instructor-led SFP training, giving participants structured guidance as they work through the program and prepare for the required assessments.

What will you learn?
The SFP program includes three units and 12 chapters that take you from strategy and planning through implementation and evaluation.
Unit 1: Introduction to Sustainability
Build the foundation for a structured facility sustainability programme. You’ll examine how sustainability connects with organizational goals, facility operations and financial decision making, including how to develop strategies, policies, initiatives and the business case for investment.
Unit 2: Analyzing Sustainable Solutions
Apply sustainability principles to major areas of facility performance. This unit focuses on evaluating facility resources, operational solutions and their impact on efficiency, costs and performance.
Unit 3: Making Sustainable Change
Move from planning into implementation and measurable improvement. You’ll learn how to establish baseline measures, implement initiatives, address resistance to change, communicate effectively, evaluate results and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
There are no prerequisites to begin the SFP program.
